Flatbed... (Sad H1)

Today was the day where the truck went to the Hummer day spa. Given that one of the things on the list is *real* hard shifting from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3, I figured I'd take advantage of my AAA membership.

The tow truck driver was a really cool guy although he gave me a bit of a hard time about my truck telling me that the last Hummer he drove had armor and a 50 caliber machine gun. Hm. I guess I can't beat that LOL.

I didn't get a picture of it, but the tow truck did struggle getting my truck up on the bed and almost lifted the front wheels off the ground when we were off loading at Tustin.

That's one of the reasons why everyone should have AAA. I am glad I have the towing service already has paid off in spades.

Truly sad pic. Mine has been on the back of one of those a few times. Doh! AAA does do wonders. Would have a $500 tow twice. Premier is the way to go. And sounds like it's more of a few day spa or longer. Mike will fix her up. Better now, than Moab

Not sure if these have an E Box (computer controlled gearbox) but if it has you could reset the computer by disconnecting the battery to rule that out.

Just make sure the 97 is ready for Moab.

The goal is to have it ready a few weeks ahead of Moab so I have time to do a few shakedown runs and get anything last minute taken care of.
