Thank God he will - of course, then the dems, repubs and other riff-raff will be out of a job (including me, yay). It's interesting you compare us to Rome. Rome fell because the leaders were far more obsessed with sex than running an empire... I think you're right, the parallels to today are pretty amazing.

I try to avoid political discussions on the internet because they never end well but this is the real truth. There is no such thing as a republican or a democrat in our government anymore. It is now corporation vs. the people and entities like the Koch brothers are slowly eroding our rights as individual citizens in favor of .1% interests. It is sad but there are still a couple good people fighting the good fight like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

So it's all about motive - so which one is going to be better for you? a person whose ideas are covert, or a corporation whose motive is to stay in business and make a profit? for me, I never trust personal, hidden agenda.

It's ironic that this discussion is being done on a Hummer board - after all, the H1-H3 were no better or worse for the planet that any other similar vehicle (and in many ways they were far better than the foreign crap that pollutes our shores) - but people with an agenda used it as their poster child to promote their cause. Why not use the Pathfinder? it gets worse mpg, breaks with astounding frequency, and redefined "poor build quality"....
