Arrest made in hit and run that injured TTPD officer
By Carolyn Roy
An arrest has been made in the hit and run that seriously injured a Texarkana, TX police officer early Friday morning.
21-year-old Justin Sanders of Texarkana is charged with aggravated assault on a public servant. He has been booked into the Bi-State Justice Center.
Officer William Sprague was struck while responding to a disturbance at Grady T. Wallace Park around 12:45 a.m. When police arrived, several cars started to leave. That's when Sprague, who was already out of his patrol car, was hit by a vehicle.
He was taken to Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana with injuries to his upper body and head, where he remains in serious condition.
Sprague has been on the force since January 2012.

I am begging for prayers for this officer... At this time he is still in critical condition and we have recently been advised that his condition is starting so spiral for the worst..
For those who know me I'm a stern individual and do not get emotional very often and I have been in worse situations were I did not even blink an eye but this hits home hard..
It pains me and enrages me to see the hate in people's hearts.. It was estimated over 40 cars and 100+ people were at this location and every single one of them just left this Officer to die.. This man chose to put lay his life on the line everyday to protect and serve these same people... It took just one passing stranger to see him laying on the growned lifeless to call 911...
For those of u who don't know Texarkana we are a joint city and even tho he is a Texas Officer we chew the same mud... Our officers worked both states while Texas investigated this horrible crime.. Needles to say the last 24 hours have been tough and this officers needs all the prayers he can get..
Thanks in advance for ur support!!!
