Im looking to throw on a cherry bomb extreme to make it sound better. What is the exhaust pipe size near the end where it is welded onto the muffler? And would it be a good option to delete the resonator, or replace the resonator with the cherry bomb and run a straight pipe to the back? Any opinion and suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks.

I believe they're all two and a half inch. I looked at doing that, but I ended up leaving the resonator in and just swapping mufflers. A lot of people just get a cat back. I think I'll do that in a few years when my exhaust is shot.

I put in a Moroso spiral flow muffler and it sounds good. Not a lot of drone either. I tried it first with just the resonator and a muffler delete but there was too much drone for me. I didn't go straight out the back though, I just put a piece of pipe in where the OEM muffler was. Going straight out the back may have been better.

It's fun to experiment but I think in the long run I'll go with a cat back. SS and mandrel bends.

Just got mine installed on Tuesday, and I love it. On a 3.7 I5. Sounds deep enough, and not overly loud. I bought the 2.5" and took it to a local muffler shop and got it installed for $55.
They basically just cut out the original muffler, welded on the cherry bomb, and ran a pipe to make up for the difference (as the original is much much longer) Could get you a video if you wanted
