ecm question

hello everyone i need some info on communication with modules! i have an 06 h3 i restored ground up for my wife it was hers she bought brand new in 06 and she is attached! i installed a 07 4.8ls motor upgraded the trans and did wire harness. i got a a e67 ecm that was supposed to be from 08 h3 alpha turned out it another v6 gm vehicle when i hooked up to my scanner through data link. i talk to a tuner in ohio and we agreed to try 08 alpha calibration with my 06 vin programing. i just got the modules back and now it doesn't pick up the ecm or tcm modules! i don't know why it read before i sent it out and now it doesn't! just curious if someone has some insight. i will call my tuner tomorrow and talk to him. i was just seeing some other opinions thank you

In 06 the trans control module is part of the PCM, if I recall correctly. Midway through 2007 it went to two separate modules. Upgrading to V8s in an 06 is more difficult than with an 08. Yes the 06 was pcm and I went to e67 with t42 tcm and I’m looking for someone with this set up to maybe give me some insight thanks
