It's hard to get a sense of scale sometimes.... I saw Portagers truck up on top there and I had to grab the camera and stop for a sec.

Great Pictures Kurt, thanks for posting. Had a wonderful time. Got home around 1AM and slept like a baby. I'll try and post some of the pictures my friend Johnny took when he E-mails them to me. Thanks again for planning such a great run. Everyone with me had a fantastic day.

Looks like a really fun place to play! Nice and sunny, too!

Here is the whole work up to getting up it. That thing is insane!

And here he is coming down. I think that would be worse than going up!

So, who's going to be the first Hummer to hit it? :corn:

I wouldnt be scared to go down...if your about to roll forward just stomp on the skinny pedal. going up though is where I would be scared ****less. I would never try it in an H3. Possibly a 3T. the wheelbase is just as long if not longer but you might get high centered. I would give it a go if I stretch the wheelbase a bit and get some more clearance. I would also want the H3 to be caged and I would take off the rack for the day...when doing extreme stuff like this every little bit counts. Most jeeps will have issues with their wheelbase. They are too short for this (minus the stretched out JK 4 doors)

forget the ledge -- the breakover on our trucks would prevent making that -- and hit gorman/hv, there are lots of steep 35/40+ degree inclines to play on and see how steep one can do.

Yeah an 3T wouldn't do it, you'd have to lift it so high it would be unstable at those angles.

Best bet is a buggy with a strong roll cage. Nothing stock or close to stock will do it....

Here are some of the pictures I took on the Anza Borrego run. I was tail gunner again so I didn't get very many pictures.

Picture through the windshield of Hummers on the trail ahead of me on the way up to the Calcite mine.
