4:1 tcase, rebuilt with the best of Reaper and Backcountryislife's cases with a bunch of new parts as well. A bunch is invested.
Looking for $600. Yeah I had a bunch of problems but we should have it worked out, will make it risk-free for the purchaser. Available nationwide free shipping via the Moab Parts Express next week.
I was rebuilding it but opted for a new tcase from backcountryislife so I could get everything together before Moab. As mentioned: I'll make it RISK FREE for the purchaser (good for known forum members that I trust only...
That's an opportunity for a $1200 tcase for half the price, with everything nice and shiny inside-- I can leave it unsealed for your inspection or I can seal the halves together, your choice.
Here's the work involved in swapping this out:
1. Drain tcase.
2. Remove UCP/skid plates.
3. Disconnect (and remove) front and rear drive shafts. When you remove the rear one it'll leak more tcase fluid.
4. Support transmission with a jack.
5. Remove crossmember (the one beneath the tcase)
6. Unbolt tcase (5 bolts).
7. Bolt on new tcase.
8. Put it all back together and add fluid.
