The Hummer was modified and improved to get in to the FIA category.

Gordon was testing his SST truck on the send dunes so, I think he will just bring one of his SST Trucks modified for Dakar. Larger fuel sell, water, 2 spare wheels and all the navigation electronics.
I'm more interested in how the production version of this truck will look like. But if he is talking about super car market, the price probably will be in the 1/5 mill range as well.

It looks like Gordon will race the Hummer after all. Yazeed Al Rajhi got an injury and will not be able to compete. On Dakar website, Gordon is registered with his 305 number Hummer.

That truck has been confirmed by all involved at RGM to be a test truck. Speed posted a couple behind the scenes photos today. Personally I'm hoping it will look like the HX but I'm not seeing that happening based on the pics. Here they are. The roofline definitely looks Dodge Magnum like.

Robby is still racing the hummer. Not a good start to stage 1 though.
