Do it! The wheelbase shouldnt be an issue...body mounts probably will be but it can be modified.

Nacho is good at photoshop.

Hate to say it...but slapping an H3 body on a real chassis is a much better idea than trying to build a suitable chassis under your H3.

It would be cool to try. So the mud slut isn't under its original frame?

No it is not it sits on a 79 1500 frame with 3/4 axles i would do coils and a 4 link instead of leaf springs like he has hes running a 4:1 tcase 5:13 gears and a very well put together 350

He might be right -- From what I here there is a lot of trial and error in getting front custom suspensions right.

Yea the thing about it is if i wanted to i could keep the stock steering/suspension setup it works ...just suspension travel would be alot less but can go higher

One off anything takes a lot of figuring. There has been no trial or error in my Custom front end. It was 'right' out the gate.

I think a 2002-later 2500 chassis would make a better choice. You get disc brakes, IFS, fuel injection, and a more modern drivetrain (with overdrive). Maybe even a duramax/allison combo? True, you gotta deal with the computer issues but I think it would be worth the hassle. Wheelbase is probably the easiest thing to fix....just chop it to suite.

I would NEVER spend the time or $ to swap a H3 body onto a IFS frame, a tech here threw a s-10 body on a older chevy chassis, tubed the rear, can't remember what model or year it was from but it turned out great and was super stable with plenty of flex.
