Bluetooth odb2 scanner

Looking for advice. I have bought two different obd2 bluetooth scanners.
#1. KITBEST : ran great first day using torque pro app next day all my gauges went haywire. Took it out , reinstalled torque pro app tried it again something.
#2 BAFX OBD2 BLUETOOTH SCANNER
this one once I stared the motor it started misfiring on all cylinders and displayed almost every code the vehicle could have.
Google search the problems and nothing as if I'm the only one having this problem.
Any advice ? Can my bluetooth radio interfere? Thanks in advance for any advice .. 2007 h3 i5

Sounds like it is a OBD device problem not a software problem. Might be some short circuiting going on inside, kind of a hit and miss problem with the cheap Amazon Chinese ones.

I was never really happy using Torque Pro or any of the OBDII scanners - but if you go that route, I'd use whatever ones Torque Pro recommends. I use a plug-in scanner for reading codes now

Yeah I had to use mine to clear the codes that these bluetooth scanner caused. Thanks for the help

I agree the problem is I used two different types. Guess I'm that .1% that these adapters don't work. Thank you for your response

Some guys want a hand-held scanner, some a bluetooth OBD device (bluetooth to phone/tablet). Lot of people on the Ram truck forum I go to a lot like the MX+ OBD scanner. I haven't used one, but I've looked into it (and others) and it seems like an affordable, compact device that is really powerful. No cables, small enough to toss in the glovebox. As a long-time snap-on scanner user, I'm amazed by the power some of these new inexpensive scanners have become. For the most part they give most users and DIY guys just about all they really need.

Launch, Autel & MaxiScan are some good handheld options. Launch seems to be really responsive as a company to fixing problems and adding features. Another option might be to buy a new/used Tech2 GM scanner (even a Chinese copy) ...which is theoretically the best for your H3 ...but you're limited to GM vehicles. And do you really *need* all those extra features, that's the question? It's one of those things where selecting a scan tool, a guy should consider his overall automotive needs.
