The standard kernmantle climbing ropes are rated at 24+ kN (5400+ pounds) and have stretch built into them to absorb shock. I could use two of them and lift a Hummer off the ground. Rope breaking isn't an issue unless you abuse things.It's all fun and games until the rop breaks.:whaa:
