Ok this just grinds my gears... I can't believe what I just saw in the news a moment ago. These 3 idiots (supposedly Boy Scout leaders) were in Goblin Valley State Park, Utah, with their boy scout group and were stupid enough to film themselves destroying a rock formation that was created from the Jurassic period nearly 200 million years ago. With this kind of stupidity running amok in our state parks, why do people even worry about 4x4s destroying the natural environment when we know how to 'tread lightly,' respect our environment and obey all park rules? What these morons did is so disrespectful. They have no regard whatsoever for the environment at all, let alone being just plain old unlawful. What a terrible example they're setting for those boy scouts! And they call themselves leaders? What morons.

This is the same mentality that I see on BLM and forest service land when people think it's OK to plow through the mud off the established trails. BLM/Forest Service will fine the "mudders" for the reclamation - if they catch them.

The plot thickens, I was heading into work and apparently the dude who pushed the big rock over is apparently "disabled" due to an insurance claim and now hes getting looked at for insurance fraud as well.

This is the face of folks who vandalize parks, they think its a joke and it closes off access to all of us, hikers to 4x4's. You hardly catch these clowns in the act, but a reasonable example should be made from this.
