So, I received my new USAA Auto Insurance Cards today. Imagine my surprise to find out the my vehicle is now listed on the card as a 2008 AM General H3. It was a 2008 HUMMER H3 up to this point... :giggle:

You know, I saw a registration for a H2 recently, think it was an '06 or'08, and noticed it was later as an AM General. Interesting.

AM General did build the H2 for GM but had nothing to do with the H3. I need to check my USAA policy/cards. Just got the renewal about a month ago and didn't pay attention to it.

Sounds like the insurance company just came up with another plan to shove a premium increase up your wazoo----if it's built by GM no big deal, but built by AM General sounds ALOT more expensive.

We just got our registration renewals for the deuce this week, I need to take a look.

That makes sense considering the Hummer intellectual property and rights go back to AM General in 2 years or so.

Insurance for H1 owners was a crick in the neck in a few spots because 2003 and newer H1s was considered GM by a few companies and pre 03's [or 02's ] were considered AM General.
