Aftermarket Bumper Options

Let's get a compilation of all the aftermarket bumper options for the H2. I see that there is a ton of aftermarket stuff for the H1 and H3, but not much for the H2.
I'm wanting to refresh the look of my H2, and after 7 years of ownership I am finally looking into aftermarket options.

Please post pictures and price.

Let's also make this thread knowledgeable so that people like me will understand what is needed to support the weight of these heavy duty bumpers.

All I know is Road Armor and Road Rhino, which are very similar.

I also can't seem to find any pre-runner style bumper options. Not even Team Hummer's H2 has it for the Baja truck. Only the H1 has that style. Anyone know of any?

Nvm.. just found it. I think it'd look cool with a extended full wrap brush guard.
Unfortunately, no brand or cost. if you have info it'd be much appreciated.

Your problem is going to be that the gold rush is over on h2 parts....No new vehicles, your getting into second and thirg gen owners who are not willing to pay top dollar. All the stock is running out, manufacturers have moved on to the new hot vehicle.

The 3 unique bumpers that were out, clearanced out the remaining stock 2-3 years back. Boulder was one, the other two name slip my mind right now.

I have heard that the Road Armour bumpers are essentially hit and miss.

If you want that tube stype bumper...yea. It wouldn't be a difficult job for a chassis/race shop/anyone w/ a tube bender to build. IF I had to guess, the center of the bumper is cut out, front hitch removed, and supports ran right to the frame. Also bolted to the top mounts on the skid plate.

They make a couple bumper/guard variation as well.. very similar to the Road Armor. I thought there was another company out there too, that made a number of bumper/guard combinations, I can't seem to find there site off hand though.

Iron Bull basically cloned the RA bumper after he got screwed by them for his own truck. The Iron Bull bumpers are popular here in AZ as dealers often sell them as a dealer add-on. I also see them on a fair amount of ranch trucks as well.

I believe Road Armor went out of business. If I remember right, their quality sucked. Pm mb30sdl, he had issues with them

I got both the front and rear bumper in weld it yourself kit for $700. Id say buy that as a base starting point and make any changes you want from there.

Couldn't sleep last night so I tried to do a rough sketch of what I wanted. Let me know what you guys think. I'm no fabricator so do you think it'll be easy for someone with some good fab skills to build?

Also, let me know if you see any issues or have recommendations.

And... if anyone can help me make a CAD drawing of this I would really appreciate that.

Ahhh, the old bumper bug. I got it really bad a couple years ago and almost traded my kidney to have one built. Nothing else can scratch that itch until you find what you want.
You've got to remember if you deal with a fab shop, you're going to pay by the hour and for all material; if you start getting intricate in what you want, it will add up fast.
I just posted somewhere else about my adventures in chasing down a bumper for the H3 and told the fabricator to go pound sand when they tried to blow past my $1800 limit with another $600 to finish it and powdercoat. It was close to being a bad ass state of the art piece of work, but the metal worker had a different vision than me and took his own path on the tube work and that's when we parted ways.
If you custom fab something, keep a close eye on them stamping (plasma cutting) the company name as large as they can on it; look at the Road Armor stuff, look at the above Raptor pic with "ADD" taking up prime real estate; mine also had a HUGE "Fat Bob's" carved out in the area I was looking forward to doing some of my own art on; this wasn't discussed and I really hated it.

Great info. Was thinking about calling ADD to see if they could pull it off. I've seen them talking on the Raptor forum and they seem like straight shooters. They do what you want and get it done. Thanks for all the advice, Twinmill.

I was half considering suggesting this route too. Atleast ADD has a much better idea of what you want, and has done work like that before, as opposed to some local shop that may have made 1 or two bumpers in the past. I've also seen some posts on the Raptor forums and they seem more than willing to work with customers who want custom work done for Raptor gear, you might get lucky!

You could also contact Rubberduck. I'm sure they would be willing to work with you on a one-off. I'm not sure of the guys name that was working out the details, but at one point there was talk of a short run of BA-clone winch bumpers that were going to be made. Only a few people committed and the project never got off the ground.

The only one of those I've seen available recently is the Tough Country, and even that might be hard to find now. Which is a shame... the H20 bumper (all their products for that matter) is my favorite. I would promptly max out my credit card should they decide to start producing gear again
