Thats is pretty kickass! Amazing that he did all of this without any media picking up on the story of his journey. The stories siting around a camp fire would be amazing.

That's my idea of retirement, hats off to the old guy. Benz has to be funding some of this? Why would you ship the same rig all over the world? Do you know what that cost? Plus the whole customs pita. I'm not trying to take anything from the guy. Just doing some math in my head. Can you say cha Ching.

I wish I shipped my Xterra over to Australia when I did a lap,around that continent, would have only been $3,000 to ship it there and back at the time, and considering it cost me more then that in repairs with the lemon we bought over there that alone would have made it pay for itself, then there was the hassle of buying and selling losing some money each time you sell because your trying to get to the next place, it's just not worth it. With each new vehicle you would have to re-learn the new car, it's just not an efficient way to travel on an Expedition like that.
