Yeah the lights stay on full-time, the power draw for the led diode isn't significant unless you drive your truck like once a year or something. I keep mine on a trickle charger :)
Welcome! Great truck, glad to hear the PCM doesn't have any issues. It's a problem with 2004s IF your ecm fails or has issues since it's a one off model year for that control system.
I Used to live in Cedar Park and Round Rock with my tan 1998, inspections were ... something. First time I had...
Update: No truck this week for me, even if I got the truck I'd like to do a shakedown run with the new hardware before leading/organizing a trail run. It'll happen, I'll keep everyone posted :)
As for the snow run I'll check with another friend if its ok we have a small get-together afterwards at a vacation home up there once we wrap up. I'll go up first to check out the spots in the BLM areas/Park areas where there will be no crowds or anything.
I'll have an update tomorrow. I haven't gotten my H1 back from Tustin yet. I'll call for a status, worse case I'll post pone, it's still on the books just may have to shift it a bit. I'll call Mike Tomorrow and see where things are at.
My truck wasn't in for anything major but there was a lot...
Trucks still in the shop, so its 50/50 the anza borrego black friday trip will happen on that date I'll keep folks posted. I'll also update when I get a Big Bear run planned there's a lot of snow up there now I believe.
Clickbait, that one guy in particular on TFL has always dumped on Hummers no matter what what generation so this doesn't surprise me.. [aka why would anyone buy a h1/2/3 when they can buy a chevy was one quote he had]
This happened before [another owner on another forum] when the dealership...
My office campus is shared with the Rivan HQ, I was wondering why I was seeing wall to wall Rivian Trucks, SUV's and Box trucks [!] near work in Irvine.
My neighbor just got a orange truck, nice setup.
On the waitlist for the Hummer EV SUV.
Finally mostly unpacked in the new house in RSM. Hummers getting everything looked over by Dr. Mike.
-Got a new top for the truck.
-Mike tracked down a drain issue with my electrical system, my monsoon amp is fried.
-Got my front drive shaft rebalanced
-New harmonic balancer and engine seals...
They come up with something and there's an instant workaround so.. cat and mouse.
Was working on getting a Glock 43x Taran Combat custom, turned out to be a scammer. Called him out on it and deal fell through.
I agree with that, I think you'll see a lot of older 4x4's be prime candidates for EV conversion. I saw a fairly robust Defender 90/110 conversion kit using dual battery packs, 3rd party control systems and a tesla motor/gearbox setup as a transfer case. Something like that could fit easily in...
Just an update, still in the plans for those rough dates. I'm moving to Rancho Santa Margarita next week. It'll be nice to hit the trails from the "other side" of the LA region without having to burn an hour of time crossing the city :)
Good condition models with low miles will increase. I'd figure the market would be small for them, I saw a few with 3-5k miles with 50k asking price but will they sell at that price?
H2 rims will do fine, One of the bit tour companies are running H2 rims on their H1 tour trucks in Moab for years.
The second option is probably going with GT Cepek / Hummer Products wheels at around $450/ea.
I swore of military tires 10 years ago, had to almost go through 7 military MT/R's...
Funny you mentioned Sig, I had someone just offer me a Sig Mastershop grade pistol, but after checking with the law, I decided to keep the SP-5 and get a mag lock kit for it, pistol or rifles with maglocks is SB 880 compliant.
Apparently, the "in thing" for CA gun owners post-2018 for...
Eh, anything fun that's a similar value range. Just had a pre-ban E&S retro AR offered with a M-203 cheese grader style flare launcher which would have been fun to have but flare launchers is problematic on a "featureless" rifle so the fun police out west wouldn't like it.
Had an Austin dealer...
Was wondering what I should be looking at...
I was familiar with Nighthawk through Korth... but I was looking at Wilson Combat 9mm's as well as Staccato and STI [which I heard were similar]. I'm not that big into semi-autos, I have a few glocks and a CZ-75B but never looked at the more...
I found Waze ok, not that I needed it in the Hummer but it's usually correct most of the time when you enter a new speed limit zone it'll flash a red limit sign to get your attention. My last road trip from Texas to California a few weeks ago it also warned me of a few speed trap areas.
