Greatest H2 Builds

The H1 bug bit me pretty hard about a month ago, since then I've been all over the web looking at some really awesome builds. Then I got to thinking, I haven't seen (or at least can't recall offhand) a whole lot of equally awesome H2 builds. The berserker H1 build comes to mind right away, but where is an H2 equivalent?! No offense to any of the 2's on the forum of course, and I know of at least one build that is in the works, but there has to be more, right?!

Maybe some of you Hummer elders can think of a few? :giggle:

That's true we have some pretty cool h3 builds too. Recon, bebe, 4 speedfunk, 07 custom and then the H1s on 40+ in tires but nothing one off custom stuff for the H2

I really liked Rick's SUT with the 2" BL and 42" Iroks. Flash has pics of it with the 39.5" Iroks and there are pics of it on Hummer Club Inc site with 42's iirc. I hated the front bumper but it was a great purpose built rig.

YES! I'm not sure why I constantly forget about this truck, as it is my favorite thus far! I'm also not a fan of the bumpers... to each their own of course. Was there anything else done (performance wise) to the truck aside from the lift and tires though?

Serge's H2, is probably my favorite so far.

Without trying to discount the amount of work involved in his truck, it seems the extent of that build is the exo cage and lift?

Has anyone ever seen a Duramax swapped H2 out wheelin'?!

I guess there out there and serge's is badass! He said the solid axle swap is next

Does he have a full build thread? The only one I've seen is the build thread for his exo-cage.

I would love to see some projects like Bebe's and Recon's, but on H2's! A sac'ed H2 with duramax swap maybe?

From what I gather (just reading tid-bits of what he has said in random threads) Mud is building his H2 up quite a bit too. Aside from the custom bumpers it sounds like he's doing some serious upgrades to the steering (more than just OTS bolt on stuff).. maybe more?

From what I've heard, He said the Solid Axle is next, then he wants to do a Dmax.:)

I feel like those control arms are just in the way...While a long arm is good for flex I think they are too long and will cause issues for wheeling.

Is it just me, or does that look like a RC truck?

Yeah, but that is a pretty awesome RC truck! It looks like Axial axles under it. I wonder where he got the body. My son would kill for that. He has been hunting for an H2 body for his Axial crawler for a long time, and can't find one anywhere.

There's a few on eBay, just type in "Hummer H2 body"....Yeah I'm an Rc nerd.

Well, the problem he has is his truck is the old Scorpion, I think, and it has a 12.5" wheel base. And every body he has found is too short. I think he found that the 1/10 JK is really close, so he is thinking of settling for that.

There was a kit sold in Japan by Deagostini. They made the H1 kit that cost over $1000. Had a nice RC motor and independent suspension. Looked realistic too

Oh ok, yeah I don't think it will work. I would on a scx-10.

Any pictures of the H2 with 41's that solar posted about?

All I'm really seeing on the "Built up" 2's is adding a buttload of weight to an already heavy truck. My experience is the 2 is a very capable(like all Hummers) off-roader with some minor mods. Don't get me wrong, I dig the looks of some of these rigs, just not really sure where the added armor helps....unless you're on your side or upside down....LOL

This is more or less what I see as well. The vast majority of built 2's you see feature bolt on parts and accessories, I'm guilty of this! In my mind these don't really qualify as a build. In comparison, if you look at some Jeep build threads (jeep jokes aside!), these guys are cutting and chopping, swapping axles, new cages, ect., closer to home we have Bebe and Recon, Kurt's H1 has had a ton of work done to it, and I'm sure there are others that haven't made threads, or I'm just spacing out... But very few H2's with an equal amount of work.
