Last 2 years I've been with you guys I always read about going to Moab and having fun....:hang: I really don't know whats all about but with all the great pictures and videos that everyone has posted it looks fun. Thing is I'm more into finding my own road running over trees and just going somewhere I couldn't without my T. Some of the Moab trails scarce the hell out of me and some of the damage that can be caused. IDK where I'm going with this but this summer I'll be in fort hood and have a better chance on meeting you guys face to face, but I don't want to be scarred to run with the big boys.:gaah:

No worries there solidj. Would be great if you could ever come our way and meet-up in Moab. The group out West all look out for each other & you'd be welcomed into the group - no questions asked. In addition, you will be amazed to see what your T is capable of on those trails and you would have the time of your life - I guarantee it.

We've had several first timers in Moab and all with every successful trips (J3jackson comes to mind). It's a different world than typical forest or desert wheeling but it is easy to manage. Neo is excellent at keeping the lambs with the flock and everyone comes home safe.

I saw that one video many years back of that Bronco. I think it was going down, what was it called? Lions Back? They are lucky that they made it down as far as they did before going over the side.. Lucky to have lived..

Looks like a 74 Blazer but who knows, they all look alike.

No one was killed, but I can imagine it took a few weeks to remove the foam from the seats from their butts.

I recomend going to Moab atleast once. I was apprehensive also not knowing the kind of people or situations I was getting into. All of the people I met there from H4O were great, they will not steer you wrong. I hope to make it back in October.

We welcome newcomers and have brought quite a few through Moab with no issues. We were all rookies once. Solid one of my homes and my farm are within an hour of Ft. Hood. Let me know when you are arriving in and we will get together.

Last Oct was my 1st Moab run & my only regret is not being able to make it out there for a Apr run. Everyone there does a great job of helping others when needed from spoting to repairs. After seeing photos & video from past trips I knew what my truck was capable of doing out there, I know what I'm comfortable doing & trusted those who were spoting me on the harder obstacles. Thats why I no problem trying Hell's gate, let the truck & Neo do all work I just had to try and keep it pointed where he told me.

Ft Hood to Moab is about 18-19 houes. We usually drive to ABQ and spend the night and then get to Moab around 2 the next afternoon. I live close to Dallas but get down to Waco and even Ft Hood fairly often. I was afraid of heights when I started going to Moab but I am cured now. Being unnerved by the pics and video's just means your ego is not so large you will get yourself in trouble. Come on down and have some fun.
