Ok boys and girls,

Here's the scoop, my Hummer, my beloved, has finally bit the dust. Unfortunitely, the transmissions went out and it is no longer driveable. So I'm seeing if I can part it out. I've done massive upgrades to it and I can tell you there's not much left on it that's stock. As said Im parting it out and selling what I can.

So here's some of the features I have. I can provide pictures for the custom stuff but, theres so much custom work Ive done to this thing it would take up alot. However here's what I have:

Custom back window decal ( Hummer h3 bloody hand)
Ported throttle body,
Cool air intake
Catback exhaust
Custom dash speedometer panel with red lights and face
Full Custom dash kit
35" offroad tires with rims
33" spare with offroad tire
Weather tech mats ( hummer h3 specific)
Custom built back cargobay tool box with drawer
All leather black heated seats ( front only)
Custom built ( hummer specific) steel molle panels for back cargo area.
All switches with all red lighting
Brush guard
Black grill
Amber running lights beside head lights
Small led lightbar with mount for front
Large led lightbar
Window hammers
Fire extinguisher mount for cargobay
Cargobay built in steel table for back door
Smoke custom rear tail lights
Special adapted hummer ev tow hooks for the h3.
Custom painted hood scoop
Power adapter
Custom painted grab handles and speaker mic ( black)
Actual leather shift boot
I have the dvd player and remote. Dvd player does work great.
Custom hummer h3 black steel emblems
Side running lamp guards
Black running boards
And of course stock parts

Please let me know if you're intrested. We can haggle over a price. I can send you pictures to you as well in what you're intrested in.

I'm confused. Looks to be in pretty good shape, lots of extras, and you're going to part it out because of a trans failure? Why not have it rebuilt, or swap in an already rebuilt trans?

I didnt have the cash to rebuild and I was told old by my mechanic that once I switch it, it going to nickle abd dine me to death. Minimal 3-5 grand to fix. Plus it's been nickle and diming me to death already. Just need something more reliable unfortunitely.

These are 15-year-old-plus trucks; everything that age will nickel-and-dime you to death. That's still way more than a basic trans rebuild should cost. I suspect your guy is either wary of doing the job (I didn't see if you had an I5, as those transmissions have some weirdness to them and he may be aware of that) or he's just projecting his personal opinion. Buying a completely-rebuilt trans for these rarely runs more than $2500 which is still not nothing, but there isn't a 4L60e on the planet worth $3000-$5000 unless it's a TCI-built racing trans. If it's a 5-speed the repair should be even less and an Alpha...that's just a conventional 4L65e/4L70e that they put in Chevy Silverados from that year.

I was quoted $1700 a few years ago to rebuild the trans in my 2008 Adventure I5, but that may be because mine still ran and drove with all 4 gears. All the same, It doesn't cost anything but time to shop around and it's not like you'll part the truck out in 3 days anyway.

It'll take forever to part it out, and you won't make squat. You'll spend 6 months disassembling and shipping parts, still have a 95% complete truck that is worth even less that when you started. JMHO. If it was me, I'd park it, save up for a trans (either rebuild or rebuilt), and then sell (running) if you still want to.

A $4k trans and maybe $500/year in maintenance.

Guess how much a replacement vehicle is going to cost you? $25k? $35k? New...$75k?

Just sell it as is if you don't want to spend the money to fix. Someone will grab it from you and have the trans rebuilt.

We live in such a throwaway society.
