That's why I avoid mud like the plague. That crap gets in every nook and cranny, and it's almost impossible to clean it all out. Then I inevitably end up under my truck working on something, and having dust and bits of mud fall in my face and eyes

This day of playing in the mud resulted in:
$40 worth of car wash
1 broken diff crossmember
1 broken motor mount
1 final failure of cracked transfer case (didn't know about crack before this)
I don't have video as my SD card also failed that day :fan

I dont know why most people have had such bad luck with the mud. I have a few jeep buddies who have had carnage like alex...I never damaged anything in the mud. Its the damn rocks!

I know a guy who went mudding in his jimmy, got stuck and melted all of the motor mounts off and then engine literally dropped. I think a lot of the damage comes from the mud not allowing things to cool off properly.

We've never had any problem with mud. I just think its a pain to clean. Some chances I get Ill go through a mud puddle, but others, most likely not.
