Adding an additional crossmember up front

Rear axle was prepped and painted

Got the limits straps installed on all four corners. Almost everything is painted. Springs are installed on the coilovers

All the link arms, tie rod, track bar and drag link are painted with Grey Steel-it coating

Shock reservoirs mounted. All brackets painted also

Stuffing them RCV shafts into the axles

On all fours to check ride height and begin thinking about driveshafts

Rear looks really good. Mostly buttoned up back here

Got the Thorparts driveshaft adapter

Made some minor ride height adjustments. Also decided to go with High Angle Driveline for the driveshafts. We decided to go with 1350 ujoints on the tcase output….so ended up not needing the Thorparts driveshaft adapter after all. This will also mean modifying the crossmember to clear the larger ujoint and CV. Just waiting on the driveshafts now

Nothing new to report. Coming up on 2months waiting for the driveshafts from High Angle Driveline. Not to mention the whole project started in April. Almost a year on that also

Well the front driveshaft showed up. Rubs the crossmember a little since we went with 1350 u joints. We’ll notch and plate the crossmember to clear the CV. Should be another week or two for the rear driveshaft

Finally after 3.5 months……the rear driveshaft has arrived

Rear driveshaft installed. Will probably get to road testing this weekend hopefully…..current rains might change that though. Exhaust still needs to be done among other little details

Also added a sort of skid plate that connects to two link mounts. Will need to flex it out and see if the notch is bigger enough to clear the front driveshaft at full droop

Looking good Vay. I just ordered a 14 bolt passenger drop steer axle. Guess it is time to start ordering brackets.

I had picked up an 05+ super duty 60 a while back. Was going to retube it to passenger side drop. Was looking at Busted Knuckles 14 bolt housings. Then I found a local 4wd shop selling retubed axles. So ordered a 14 bolt, shaved front steer axle, uses SD C's and knuckles, so you can run big U joints and larger short stub axles. Was quoted 6 week to build the housing.

Going to start ordering mounts, dom, ect.
