Repaired rear view mirror (GM#15176974) circuit board. A voltage regulator and 4R3 component had bad solder joints, failing to provide power to the compass and temp display. Re-soldered the joints. Display now works. Items circled in red are the voltage regulator and 4R3 component.

I forgot one.......the lower transmission oil cooler line likes to seep ATF at the flex hose crimp connection in cold weather....and well, it is almost Christmas. The line began to leak again, and in turn gave me another side mission. Replaced all 3 transmission oil cooler lines. Now this Tahoe is leak-free. 🤞 I probably could have left it alone for a while, but I didn't want to give the truck an excuse to blow the line out...especially when I am going to put 3,000 miles on it in the next two weeks driving across the country to see family and friends.

-Replaced lower radiator to trans line (GM#15773661)
-Replaced upper radiator to aux cooler line (GM#15809058)
-Replaced aux cooler to trans line (GM#15809053)

-For the last year or so I've been chasing an intermittent "rubbing/popping" sound under hard braking/accelerating from a stop and/or driving over speed bumps. Turns out the slip yolk on the driveshaft was running low on grease, so I repacked it with long life moly-fortified grease and the sound has disappeared!

-Replaced driver door hinge pins. After 23 years of use the door was starting to sag a little. Really stood out after I installed the WeatherTech floor mats which overlap on the door sill plate a little. Whatever clearance there was between the bottom of the door panel and the sill plate was now gone due to the floor mat and the aging door pins stood out like a sore thumb. Door sag is now gone and closes like it should! (Endurapin NBS Kit)
