Do I need to disconnect the battery and/or the computer module to keep from zapping them if I am welding on the frame?

Thanks, Doug

I have heard bad stories of guys who dont disconnect their battery and end up frying an entire electrical system :whaa: Always make sure you disconnect the battery.

I am in the middle of building one for H3slate right now. What is your time frame for when you would be ready?

Hey Scarsman. no real time frame for me pretty much whenever. Right now I'm checking out racks and trying to decide but it doesn't matter if I had to wait awhile. Would you be able to send me an email with price and estimated shiping to 54968 or if need be I could have it shipped to a business at 54971. my email address is glpd74@yahoo.com Thanks for your reply

details on how your mounts work - i.e. how does the rack mount to the rails? I have some ideas (looking to DIY my own rack), but curious about how others have done it. I love the H2 cutouts :)

You bet! I make an anchor plate that slides inside the roof track. It is drilled and tapped with two holes. The mounting bracket sits on top of the track, and two bolts go through the bracket and thread into the anchor plate. Once tightened down the bracket and anchor plate sandwich and clamp down on the top of the track.

When you get to building your rack I could make some brackets for you with the emblem cutout, if you like. Just let me know.
