Where can u get them? Im looking for R&P to upgrade from 4.10s both front and back and all I got across was yukongears on ebay.

I used Randy's ring and pinion. For me it was great. With standard shipping I ordered it on Monday morning and by Tuesday afternoon the gears are at my door.

Like 06 said....I got a used set of rear gears for sale. They are factory GM gears from my 2008 8.6" 10-bolt...4.56 ratio. 31,800 miles on them...excellent condition. These will fit any H3 rear axle (they all have 4-series carriers)...$100 plus shipping. I replaced them with 5.13s and they've been sitting in a box on the shelf for about a year.

I still have the stock rear axle for sale. 4.10 ratio with stock locker. 300 OBO

Made some progress on my build, but waiting on some parts has stalled me up.

So far I have mounted a Genright fuel tank. Pleased to say that the stock H3 fuel pump/ sending unit drops right in there and works like its a factory fuel tank.
I used the Crawler EXT Gas Tank TJ/YJ it fit nicely between the frame rails and doesn't hang down low.[h=1]I mounted it in the rear to accommodate the 4 link suspension. Moved the charcoal canister to where the stock fuel tank was located. Tucks up nicely.[/h]
I installed a reverse swing steering box from PSC with ram assist. Mounted to the inside of the frame.

Axles are being fitted with 5.13 gears and ARB lockers this weekend and should be ready for me on monday.
Been waiting on a ballistic rear axle truss and blue torch fab front axle truss/ ram assist mount. for the last month.
Once those come in I should be able to make some real progress on the suspension.

Is The 32 spline double-cardan flange the one that High Angle Driveline sells for about 109.00? Is it the model number CVF51 or the CVF517 that fits the front output on the stock transfer case?

I don't know what model number it is. I just called and said I had an H3 with a Dana 60. He told me what measurements he needed, and the driveshaft was spot on! Well worth it.

The rear axle is AAM 11.5. I got all the cables/ brackets to reinstall the E brake. I'm leaning away from ABS but if I have to I will take the time to install tone rings from Dynatrac or D-lux fab.

You're running the 11.5? Be prepared for plenty of Code 14's off-road ;)

Yeah. Nowdays, a passenger-drop is a definite handicap. It's not that it's any less awesome or less capable....but it drastically limits your choice of donor parts.

I always looked at it the other way around. Sure the newer 1 ton axles are all driver drop, but they are also have ball joint knuckles and unit bearing hubs. In the case of the AAM axle, it is only 33 spline vs 35 spline for a 60 (although the axle shaft u-joints on the AAM axle are badass!). I prefer my 60 to have king pins, spindles and hubs, and internal hub locks. Chevy and Dodge both used pass. drop up to the early 90s, and their axles had better knuckles. Fords were always driver drop, and high pinion is available, but their knuckles aren't as strong and the axles themselves have less availability (although all king pin 60s are getting scarce and pricey these days). You can swap knuckles, of course, but that adds cost. When it came time to upgrade I was glad I had a pass. drop rig!

If you have the stock electric locker in that rear end I may be interested in buying it. Not sure how cheap you can ship it to davenport IA. Or if the Moab parts express can help. Truthfully if you only want 300 and it's the locker I will buy the locker and both axles. If you can pull it apart?

I can help with Moab express

I want to get this. At this price if he can tear it down I would like to get the locker with whatever gm uses to get the wires thru the case, axles and the yoke, off the pinion.
Ideally i would buy the whole thing and just change the gears. But if he will strip it and send me the parts i will put the locker in my housing.

If you could pick it up and strip. All I would need shipped is the locker. I could get the axles at Moab.

Id send him a PM.

It actually would work out well. He's basically en route to Moab for me.

I've been down your path, a locker will be a huge improvement

that's good news, one of my updates to my h3 is to relocate the tank to where you did because I want to do a 4 link in the rear as well. Granted, I won't spend 900-1000 for a tank when I have a press brake and shear of my own....
