Check the u-joint in your steering shaft. Mine has just recently started 'popping'. And it and the frame are about the only things left to replace on my rig.

Welcome from Northeast Mississippi. You can always try my approach to the maintenance on my '06 H3, go through and replace absolutely everything at once. And she's still a work in progress...

I'm currently into this for about $11-12K and it runs better than it ever has. Mainly working on the armor and cosmetic issues now.
