I'm also a maybe. I just have to figure out how to get the H3 out there without having to drive it all the way. I don't mind the drive. I just don't want to wear out the IROKs driving on so much road. Also, if I know I can trailer the H3 back home, it will allow me to test it out better without being scared of being stuck out there too long. If I can get a rental trailer I should be able to come out.

I was going to suggest trying to find some dinky street tread/wheels for $200 and driving out on them, but then where to put the IROKs haha. And i doubt that will fit on those even junkier u-hail auto-trailers, but if it does i would suggest that. Not sure, but you should be able to rent utility equipment trailers and you could always pull it on that, just make sure you book it now so that you can attempt to get a cheap deal. Worst comes to worse you cancel last minute, but its better to have then have not

Okay, put me down as a 90% positive i'll be joining you all this year - probably camping at the outpost. With the excuse for not following through last year out of the way (new house purchased and up and running) I will have the ability to drive on out. I also plan (truck willing) to continue driving out to CA to meet up with family afterwards.

Recon, I plan to have my truck shipped back (as long as the price is reasonable) so, if I don't meet up with my family out in CA, we could probably work out a discount for 2 trucks (or more) being shipped back to the east coast if you are interested.

I have family in LA, but others are looking for a place to vacation in SoCal where I would meet up with them. The plans are being worked out now.

Don't flame me for this: but you could rent a Jeep in Moab and drive that... we'd make fun of you but it would just be a rental. And you'd save thousands in shipping.

I suppose the option is always there to fly out and ride shotgun with someone but that would take 50% of the fun out of everything. So, if I'm gonna make it out there, the truck is coming with me. Besides, what better 100k mile celebration gift to give than a cross country road trip to MOAB!!!

Oh yea, and as it turns out, the extended trip to CA is not going to happen - family is looking for an Oct trip instead.

Not just a rental, All damages will be paid by the person renting, so if you roll, you have just purchased a jeep.:giggle: Or maybe your insurance company if they would cover it.

On my first Moab trip a guy was doing Hells Gate in a rental. I was curious and asked about that, he said his insurance would cover it. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

He hopes his insurance will cover it... You might be surprised. It depends on the contract. If the contract states trails you are not supposed to be running, and you destroy the jeep on a trail, insurance may not cover it. I saw it happen...

At first I was going to wait and see how my schedule works out but I will just try and work around everything else. I am so stoked! I cant wait to see the difference in performance with newer tires, a 4:1 and the spring over.

I think she'd win. I'm pretty sure Olan/Hummer Investments only has a couple of years on her :)

SickString, glad to hear you're in!

I had to skip this past October event and as a result I've been seeing a psychiatrist ever since..... :(

Going to Moab is not an addiction, it's just something I have to do
