So if i read this correctly, Toyota has a known issue with their engine, issues a recall...Chrysler has a know issue with their engine, issues a recall. However GM has a known issue with their engine and does nothing. I am pretty sure had GM handled my head replacement better than they did I may still have mine, I miss it everyday.. Typical GM

Hmmm... Toyota. Toyota denies, accuses their customers of malfeasance, claims perfection, then buys the car back as a favor (thus no lemon law on the carfax), then resells the car after doing nothing to a kid in college - who, after trying for a year to get it fixed finally traded it for a Chevy pickup with 80k more miles (that is still owned in my family).

GM at least had a process - I had a Canyon with that issue that GM never fixed. However, it convinced me to buy a Hummer with the same motor but never had that problem.

With that said, I loathe GM warranty

Most recalls are safety related - brakes won't work, vehicle will catch on fire, etc. If recalls were an issue of poor design, execution, engineering, etc. that simply led to poor quality products then just about every domestic vehicle in the 1980s would've been required to be recalled and Hyundai would've gone out of business.
