Some weekend fun in the mud.

Here is a couple pictures from this weekend.

Every year I hit the trail with a group called Legendary Civilian Jeepers. They put together a food drive for our local food pantry. Unfortunately I was unable to make the drop off this year, but here is a link to the news coverage this year:

Here is me charging up a hill, only myself and two other jeeps made it

Here is me getting pulled out of the "hole". Everyone needed to get winched out..including the highly modified jeep that is pulling me. I also made it up the farthest.

All done for the day, getting ready to leave.

Awesome!!! Man I miss the mud already.... This snow thing is cramping my style...

The rain did end up changing over to snow about 2 hours after we got off the trail on Saturday. Only about 3" of snow on the ground atm.

I did get a ton of crap from most of them before we even got on the trail. Then after I cleared the first obstacle with ease, they became believers.

Were the Jeep guys welcoming? I ran with one Jeep group back home once and I got some mixed "reviews".

Yes, they are a good group of guys, I have wheeled with them before in my other jeeps that I had owned. It was more of why the hell did I go with this big H2 and not a JK. The only thing that I was not allowed to do was pull any of them out... I think they didn't want any evidence.

I guess I have didn't really drive the H2 without one, but I think it would "feel" underpowered if I didn't have it. The H2 didn't even sweat a bit on anything we tried.

Only thing I wish I did have on the truck was front lockers. I had a bit of an issue getting over a rock that was sloppy because of the mud. I kept just sliding down the rock with my drivers side front tire. So instead of crawling over it, I had to just get a run at it and bump over it. Without the mud, it would have been no problem.
