Florida is not traditionally open cary, but open cary is lawful while engaged in or going directly to and from lawful target shooting, hunting, fishing and camping expeditions. So on any given day I am engaged in at least one of these activities.

Or, put another way, if my gun comes out it's because I'm going to shoot someone - which means I'm defending myself against a direct, immediate threat. Otherwise, that's what 911 is for - I'll let them fill out the paperwork if someone gets shot.

This. In cooler weather I carry pretty much every day. In the summer if I'm running around in shorts and a light T-shirt it's probably 50/50. If I ever get around to picking up a really small .380 I'll probably carry that every day in the summer.

I carry concealed everyday in Texas, not so in CA.

You first need to get a non- restricted license (currently have), then you need to get a restricted, then you can buy a hand gunn, but only if you file a police report stating the date and time that you will be transporting, which route you are taking (the exact roads), where you are going to, with whom you are with and only then if they approve will they let you... There are huge consequences if you get caught without the permit to transport.
