H3 New wheels on and e&g fender flares

I came home from a work trip to find my 5 new wheels sitting on the porch and a delivery attempt slip from ups for my fender flares. I had been running 5" backspacing 18x9 wheels previously and can now see why 4.5" of backspacing is basically the minimum based on how little room the is from tire to knuckle. The new wheels are 18x9 fuel boost with -12 offset, 4.5 backspacing. With the half inch less protruding on the tires and the fender flares I don't have much tire sticking out anymore. Now I can actually pass inspection if I have to. Pictures aren't that great but it's all I could do with a parking lot, phone, and near dark conditions.

Thanks. I've wanted a snorkel for a while. Maybe after in a month or two I will find one to pick up. I think I need new rotors anyways so I might get some that are a little bigger.

Sweet.... You have a tough looking rig. Ive been liking yours since you did the roof rack.. I agree on the snorkel. If and when I ever do it, I want to pick up a extra front quarter panel so I have a unaltered one to put on if I ever wanted the snorkel off though. The hole in the fender is the only thing that has kept me from doing it. "A tip for the inside of the wheel well. If clean them up real good, then spray them down with WD40 and wipe em down they will be nice and black and that keeps mud/dirt and ice and other stuff from sticking to it as easy. Stuff sprays right off. I do it about 3 x a year." Looking good my man. Wanna Trade.. :)

I thought those flairs looked darker than mine. A little top tip: Use Armor All on the flairs and they'll clean up a lot nicer after a day on the trail (or a few weeks of road salt).

Your truck is looking great. One of the nicer builds on the forum IMO.

Thanks. I'll try that too. I wish It was a little warmer so that paint on the flares could bake some more in the sun.

With your setup do the fender flares stop debris from hitting the side of your car or just reduce em?

There's still some dirt but the flares to block most of it. I don't notice the water and mud being slung around while I drive anymore
