So what did you put in to replace it?
isnt there something about the nav on the radios being locked in for a certain car? Or can that be reset?

Not sure the VIN thing works on the radios, but i know you can get them reset.

Amp sits in the rear left of the vehicle behind the trim panel by the so-called woofer.
Factory radio needs to be reset to "accept" a new vin number from the BCM when first installed and power is applied. From my old memory, it takes a few minutes with a Tech 2 (not sure if GM still uses the Tech 2 since believe it was going to be replaced).
