Marathon gasoline finally got Top Tier certification on 2/9. I know that doesn't mean a thing to a lot of people, and that's fine. Personally, I do think it makes a difference, and since Marathon stations are the predominant brand in this area, it makes finding "good gas" a lot easier. My father in law is also retired from Marathon's refining division, so now I don't have to hide the Phillips 66 receipts any more...I can just buy Marathon!
As a side note, I really don't know if anything actually changed with their additive package. My suspicion is that it did not. Marathon likely already met the standards but just didn't have the certification. I asked, but never got a straight answer, only marketing BS.
