Hummer Recovery Vehicle

I enjoy the fact that I have something different. I go out with jeeps alot, and usually get an earful but its all in fun. But in the end I usually hear that they are surprised at how well the H3 did. One instance I was out with a Ranger 4x4 and a jeep buddy. We came to an unusually steep, rocky descent that a couple other jeeps and a samarai had just came up. My jeep buddy didn't want to go down it as his air lockers were on the fritz and he didn't want to risk not coming back up (that meant a very long trip to death valley to get out). The comment from the other party was that they didn't think the Ranger or Jeep would have a problem coming back up but my H3 might have probs. I don't take offense at that since I've learned that I get singled out as not so capable a vehicle, even the most basic jeep seems to have more offroad credibility than I do. It is fun to prove them wrong! :thumbs:

I picked up a Hummer recovery sticker in Moab, I've earned it... :bc8:

when Beebs and i got towed off Golden Spike by Lonnie and Rox , we got them the H3 recovery stickers and were happy to give them to them , i owe one to Summit for towing me off Hells , and now to think of it, i need a H1 recovery sticker for JGB when my fuel pump croked on a night run on Fins :giggle:

I have recovered quite a few Hummers also but even though I run mostly with Hummers I have probably recovered as many Jeeps as I have Hummers. Not a big deal, just is what it is.

Dave; Have you ever been towed by a Jeep? I think a Wrangler would have a tough time moving an H1.

I think I should get some "H3T Recovery Vehicle" stickers to give out to people who give me a tow. Also some "Hummer Recovered Vehicle" stickers to offer to those I tow. I won't make them put them on though.

On a side note, my buddy in his FJ got it high centered and it took 2 jeeps, one with a tow strap and the other winching, and the wheels on the fj spinning to get him out lol
