HID lights on H3

My mechanic is somewhat stumpted. We are in midst of putting HID low and high beams on a 2006 H3. Lows work, fog lights work, can't get the highs to go on. Talked to after market outfit they said H3s have electrical issues and wants my mechanic to call him. while i am waiting for this to happen wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions

I can't help on the 3 but I have put in hids on a taurus that the lows and highs were both controlled by a single bulb. Hids cannot handle highs and lows but if you have a kit they use a magnet to try and replicate it hope this helps but it sounds like everything is working as it should if your hid kit does not have the magnet with it

well we got it done...apparently the kit had two wires crossed the ground and the high beam. straightened them out and away we went! thanks for all the suggestions
