Gents, the real opportunity is in silver. It's being used more and more in industry and less and less is being mined yearly. Supply and demand will make it skyrocket some day. Then there is the fact that the big banks have so many silver contracts sold, but nowhere near the real physical stuff in storage to cover those contracts when it does skyrocket. Just a thought. If you buy, buy the physical stuff and take delivery of it. Paper is just paper and a lock box at the bank is NOT safe.

Shhhhh... don't tell everyone that. I make jewelry out of silver. It's getting hard to find. I usually buy old sterling flatware and broken and scratched sterling bowls and stuff. I melt it down and then roll it in a roller mill and voila... jewelry! I still buy a few ounces of fine silver (.999) every couple of months because the fine silver is best material to make bezels. Pre-made, flat sheet are REALLY expensive!!

I have hundreds of old Morgan silver dollars. Some are now worth more as silver bullion than they are as old coins.

Yes, I do!!!
Majority of my work is in turquoise because I really like how it "works" with the grinding and polishing of the stones. I have fossilized dinosaur bone which is very popular now and some other stuff. I have a lot of rocks... probably more that I need! I get carried away and see a rock or slab that looks interesting, so I buy it. This summer I haven't made too much because I have been up in the mountains every weekend playing! Once it gets cold and snowy, I get back to work making jewelry.

Here's a photo taken this morning looking at the Mosquito Range West of Fairplay, Colorado. Calm, clear and cool 32 degrees at 7AM. Light snow, just a couple of inches on the mountains.
