Correct sway bar link installation

Hey guys, just installed some new sway bar links and was wondering if they are too close to the CV's? The 2nd pic is how the previous owner installed them which looks incorrect to me. Do I have them in the right place? Thanks for the help.

Yours (first pic) are mounted correctly, at least for OEM links. They mount on the backside of both the stabilizer and LCA.

That's second pic, it's a head scratcher. The first pic is correct.
