converting h3 transfer case to manual shift

Is there any way to convert the H3 transfer case to manual shift? I am thinking about using the drivetrain in my H3 for a project, which is why I'm posting in this forum. I posted up a while ago about a Jeep Commando C104 that someone gave me, and I want to use it for a rock crawler. If I could use the H3 TC, it would save me some money. I'd like to keep this build really simple and have very few electronics. If it's possible but exensive I'll skip it. I would probably be better off selling it and using one that shifts manually from the factory, but it never hurts to ask.

Hmmm it may be possible if you can take off the encoder motor and key in to the shifting mechanism. I think it would be a short throw to shift it

I guess it would just as simple as rigging up a lever to where the encoder goes... maybe it's not a bad idea.

Not sure what you'd do with the electronics - part of what those buttons do is tell the truck what gear your TC is in.

i'd be using it for a swap into a 70's jeep so I wouldn't need the electronics.
