Bad motorists

Videos like this always entertain me. Here's a van getting rescued after driving through a flooded wash. The fact that you can't see the road and that the signs are nearly covered should be a good indicator of "Do not cross". AZ does have a "Stupid Motorist Law" to have these people pay for the recoveries.

Hmmm.... isn't one of the first and simplest rules of off-roading to always know what you are driving in to / on to / over / under *BEFORE* you do it?

These fools that drive into moving water over a roadway are no different than the dolts that climb mountains in the winter or hike into a volcano and get into trouble one way or another...and then the National Guard or local fire and rescue have to go in after them to save their dumb-asses from their own stupidity..you hear about it on the news all the time..all though they are well aware of the consequences ..and the costs for their rescue is never mentioned, although your taxes did pay for it..However, some are so out there on a limb, they have to cut off their own arm to get out of trouble...no pun intended.

Jeez, wonder if an H1 could just go in there? It looks like its barely less than 30 inches. But with moving water, I wonder if it would be to fast? Either way, they where doing it the safest trying to save the people. I just dont understand, why you would risk it in a van, when its that deep.
