My straps didn’t last very long.

Hopefully I can find something that is more UV stable, also thinking that this would be a good time to upgrade to a buckle or ratchet instead of Velcro that it came with.

My plastic hood louvre thing is coming up in the rear. What’s the best solution for fixing it?
Some type of adhesive?

I think water sitting on top after rain storms also contributed to the straps failing on mine.

Practiced social distancing this past weekend. Replaced leaf spring bushings and finally installed the tomp low profile shock mounts with extended shackles.

One project done. Pulling the airbox gives you a nice spot to sit in for this one. Broken rear stud came right out, PB blaster to the rescue once again.

Finally finished up 1 of many projects needed before Blacksheep week, then all hell broke loose. Installed the Michigan Metal Works HD UCA, Sure hope the MMW hold up longer than the 1 year I have been averaging with the OEM. Also installed the Outfitter Design extra heavy duty tie rods.

Today i changed injector - and 7 cyl misfire problem gone.. With knock sensor much more complicated - i have cut original wires from computer to sensor and made my own.. all problems gone..original lightblue wire was grounded.. now all fine !

Glad you got it sorted. Was the injector bad or just dirty maybe? When I rebuilt my engine I had all the injectors cleaned and tested. Much cheaper than all new injectors.

The top edge tailgate plastic piece broke off during a cold snap this winter (well the plastic tabs that help hold it one broke).

So I finally got tired of the goofy look with it missing and decided to fix it with stuff I had around the shop.

First I drilled a hole through both the plastic part and the tailgate, then I removed the plastic top cap and drilled the tailgate out to the size of hole I would need for the rivnut. I installed the rivnut, and then used a aluminum cone washer and a SS bolt to hold it all together. It turned out like this:

Got the girl new shoes. BF Goodrich KM3 315/75/16. Also putting new leaf springs in with Siberian polyurethane bushings, new steering rack (16mm), steering column, metal shift fork, and the door switches. Also ordered the rear window water pump that went out.

Well. After 12 years of trail running, extreme mods, and neglect...Covid-19 has given me just the excuse to do some detailing. Three hours on the drivers door...

It really needs a wet sand with 3000 grit to get it perfect but, I don’t want the mess.

After the deep scrub/polish/wax, I’m going to steam clean the motor and paint the entire suspension.
