Now that you have lived with your camo pattern for awhile how do you enjoy it? I have been going round and round with doing something like either of these.?

I love it easy to touch up and easy clean after playing hard on mud or snow...no need for soap really neither crazy water pressure for everything to wash off. If say to anyone wanting to camo or just flat paint their rigs to just go ahead...no more scratches to buffer out with wax, and as mention it can easily be touch up if needes...im thinking on going ahead after SAS is completed and spray on the kryptek pattern I've been wanting,

mainly because I want to make a trip to Mexico to wheel and visit relatives but I can't due to how the truck looks now...dont want to get hassle by the military or police nor kill by cartels.

I have an idea of how as well I plan on making the pattern 5 times bigger or so, so it is more proportion to the size of the veicle as well easier for me, might start with the roof this time to experiment with. Definitely not a 2 day project like last one but once I get the hold of it and after some hand made stencils it should be easy. this guy made a good job...however I believe the pattern is a bit over sized

I think if you are going to do it right then you need to have a professional stencil made like the ones Camoliner uses for SEMA. I have a few graphic design friends that will make a stencil for me.

I thought about it...but again always come down to the same conclusion "if you want something to be right the first time, you better do it yourself" I'm going to buy masking tape of different widths and go from there. What I do gonna have to invest is on some different spray pattern paint tips.

I'm using stray up rattle cans as of right now and some different spray pattern tips. I'm investing on a airbrush to get a better spray pattern spread by that's it. I don't want to get too fancy on the paint since by doing that I cut off the flexibility of being able to just touch up the paint with what's on the shelf which I like that option as well I don't intent to make it permanent since I might down the road experiment with another pattern. So why dumb so much cash on something like this.

Hi cj.
I have a question, I came up with this fitment issue when I tried to mount the h3 calipers on the brackets...they seems like they either need to be bend inwards a little or I might have mounted something wrong probably second option is more likely.
What do you think, have the same issue with both sides. Which makes me incline toward the idea I f-ed up.

Well have ebc rotors and pads as well yukon 5.13 ring and pinion and overhaul kit. I figure I share the part number for future if anyone interested.

Hey Panzer. No good.
My initial reaction is that the rotors are not sitting flat against the face of the hubs. Take a close look and you will see that wheel studs get larger right where they come through the hub flanges. This creates a tight situation right before the rotor meets the flange. Essentially...the holes in the rotor get bound up on the shoulders of the wheel studs. Try drilling out the six holes in the rotors...use a 9/16" bit. This will open them up and allow the rotor to slide FULLY down into its correct position. The rotors must sit completely flat against the hub flanges. To check for binding...test fit the rotors by "flipping" them around backwards. This will allow you to see the situation that is normally hidden inside the "hat" of the rotor. If the rotor stops before it reaches the flat surface if the hub, then the holes need enlarged.

Thank you cj...i used a round file on all 6 holes and cleaned the rust from the inside of the rotor...and it fully sat this way...I'll keep this in mind when I install my new rotors.

Some goodies arrived while I was gone, it should be a fun coming weekends...i must say EBC rotors look pretty well made as well the pads...id have to see if they perform as advertised.

Question for u. I forgot I got an lsd carrier. I was going to use my old 10 bolt rear open carrier but that's a 30 spline so o can't run the shaft i have since they are 28 spline. Anyways if remove the springs spring pack from the lsd carrier wouldn't this make it an open carrier since there's no spring there to lock it.
Let me know worst case scenery Is just get 30 spline shaft like i planned.

28 spline 10b's are total crap.
I strongly recommend upgrading to some 30-spline shafts. Even if you use stock Spicer shafts, they're still better than the 28-splined stuff. Then you can run your stock open rear carrier in the front. 30-spline shafts are not hard to find.
The other option is to go buy a 28-spline open carrier. These are practically free and easy to find (because everyone replaces them with 30-spline units).
Lastly...make sure your rear carrier fits before you buy new shafts. I'm pretty sure it will.

Yes, I do plan on running 30 in the near future...this 28 is just a temporary measure to get the truck going it is been seating down for too long needs to stretch her legs.

30-spline open diffs are everywhere in eBay for under $100. Just make sure you get one with the 4-series offset....3.73-5.38.
Never tried gutting a LSD...let us know how that works.
