After dumping milk twice in the back of the deuce, it finally came around to really haunt my wife this morning.
Let me just say that no matter how thoroughly you think you cleaned the deuce, short of pulling the carpet and burning it, you'll get "ghost rotten milk" smells as long as you own it. We can't afford to pull the rug right now, and the smell, as I said, is like a ghost, it comes and goes at random.
Anyway, my wife tied one on last night, and actually, after 12 years of marriage, I've never seen her so hosed. Well, she had a dr. appt. this morning and went to get in the truck and the ghost was back..........
Oh yeah, spill milk in my HUMMER......

Febreze actually does a good job of removing most odors. Every now and then, we'll get someone who comes in with unbearable B.O. and we'll fog the office with Febreze after they leave. Likewise, we had a farmer track his hog crap laden boots into our store once. Febreze took care of that, too.

I also had this problem, I got this stuff from the company who cleans our apartment buildings and I took care of it for good. The bad is I don't know what the hell it was he had it in a spray bottle. Try finding a cleaning company and ask if you can buy some enzyme killer, if you don't have any luck let me know and ill see if I can get some and ship it to you, that smell sucks a$$ and drove me nuts for weeks.

Milk is just aboout the worst. It seems to have many. many lives when spill. Seems like heat, humidity or a combination of the two always brings back the memories of the spill.

Sounds like it was an awful morning - hangover and spoiled milk? :whaa:
Bingo---that's what makes this so damn funny!
We do have a bottle of Febreeze in the truck already, it was originally my daughters defense against me driving with the windows up and ripping one on them, but now it's like holy water for the ghost in the machine!

Try OdoBan :link:

It breaks down the material that causes odors so it should work on sour milk. You can spray it directly on the carpet or put it into an upholstery cleaner.

I biggest problem is it gets in the pad under the carpet.really not a way to get at it unless you pull the carpet.

2 summers ago we were at my mother-in-laws house installing a new fence. we were loading up the old fence in my trailer. We had the front doors of my truck open with the radio goin. A neighborhood cat thought it would be a good idea to jump in my truck and piss on the passenger floor board. It;s getting better through the multiple washes but its still there especially when you turn on the the heater on the floor. I uses a house carpet cleaner on it a few times that seem to help the best with pet odor remover soap and I soaked it real good let it sit the vacumed it. I have done the a few times, then with fabreez for pet odor. It's a lot better but every once in a while you get a wiff.

I think maybe after this winter I may pull the carpet clean it from the bottom side then sound deaden the floorboards while I have the carpet out.
