The GM dealer finally started working on my steering rack, thank god, might be able to make it if I can get 315s for my stock wheels.

Allen Gwynn in Glendale. Finally got approval from my warranty company. Now I can sent Steve back his bypass soon.

Must have been due to the extended warranty company. You might want to ask if they are putting an OE rack in it or aftermarket. Run into that a lot with aftermarket warranty companies.

I told them I didn't want aftermarket. They quoted $700 for parts(100% mark-up)so I hope that was the hold up. I will check, thx Zach.

Funny thing about broken parts---you don't want aftermarket (I normally like to run what came from the factory if possible), but the damn thing broke. I start looking at the quality of the company making the aftermarket parts and weigh in on the consequences of my factory stuff breaking at X miles. Take for example my airbags, the factory replacements cost twice what aftermarket prices easily, yet my replacements are supposedly made in USA.
The factory Firestone bags saw me to 86K miles (about 60K heavy trailer towing). Not bad, but I'm going to give the replacements a shot at beating that because I expect at least a little more (ok, alot more) than just 86K out of a set of bags.

Well in my case getting the mayhem steering mount kit probably is more important than anything else after experiencing a fail of the rack on the trail. Thanks to the H4O crew (reloader)for getting me home safe.

Honestly, no loyalty or anything else. Scorpworks, is best solution. Pricy, but know a bunch running his, zero issues. Have his crossmember in my 2. Has held up like a charm. Went through 2 OE crossmembers before his came out and no signs of issues.

Honestly, no loyalty or anything else. Scorpworks, is best solution. Pricy, but know a bunch running his, zero issues. Have his crossmember in my 2. Has held up like a charm. Went through 2 OE crossmembers before his came out and no signs of issues.

I think my front diff is going out. I have been hearing dome weird noises from up front. Gonna drop the front shaft and drive with rear wheel drive only to see if it clears up. Unfortunately, the H3 is my every day driver right now. I may end up dropping the front diff all together and get it rebuilt or find a replacement. Not sure if the cast iron model can still be found.

Unfortunately, the H3 is my every day driver right now. I may end up dropping the front diff all together and get it rebuilt or find a replacement. Not sure if the cast iron model can still be found.

That sucks. Have a shop confirm before you buy a CI. I priced them recently and they ain't cheap.

If you need a "new" front differential you can have my old front differential, I pull a little back when. I put in the cast iron one. Let me, all it will need is new cv seals and perhaps a differential cover seal of you decided to crack it open...if not the. You don't need that either, nothing worn with it.

probably pinion bearings going out. I would give you one of my old spare diffs but all of my spares are gone.

Let me, all it will need is new cv seals and perhaps a differential cover seal of you decided to crack it open...if not the. You don't need that either, nothing worn with it.

I already have gone through all the diff mounts (including a ScropWorks cross member) along with a new drive shaft and of course, new half shafts. I will get in touch when things mellow out a little more at home and I have the In-Laws settled in their new place.
