Hey fellas, how many members are on NITTO tires and are they good brands? I may change my Coopers STT Pro when the time comes for NITTO's Trail Grappler M/T 315/75R16

I'm riding on Nitto Terra Grappler G2s [305/55r20], Very nice tire for running the trails and for pounding the pavement. They ride and handle great. Not bad for noise. Little on the expensive side. Overall a very good tire.

I've looked at many brands and have researched till my brain was in paralysis lol!
Nitto seem quite pricey for the product offered as well as toyo, bfg and some other big named tire manufacturers.
In the end I was able to pick up a Cooper branded tire well made and fits the bill. I also chose to ditch the aggressive All terrain in favor of a more mild tweener kinda old school block siped pattern lending itself more to a pattern akin to Michelin ltx .
Happy with them so far.

I would pass on anything not Made in the USA by a US Company with US workers. Coopers or Mickey Thompsons all the way.

I'll be getting a second set of Cooper ST MAXX this fall. I have over 100K on this set. Ride is fine when not over inflated, and quieter than my Magnaflow Catback.

I do like my Coopers STT Pro's , the best tire I had on my Hummer so far. But they nearly doubled in price over here and I don't know why? Some say that MICHELIN did buy Cooper and MT compagnie ??? Any true?

Nittos is one of the best tires out there. I have had Nitto Trail grapplers on my aH3 for over 10 years. I got 8 years and 50,000 miles out of the first set. They still had tread. The traction on slick rock in Moab was suffering at 6 years of age. Not one tire related problem.

I wanted to put Trail Grapplers on my ZR2. But I choose to go with a lighter tire.

Thanks all, that will make my next purchase easier.
And thanks alrock, was not sure about who did buy the Cooper giant. A good friend in France, who is also a 4x4 tire tester thinks, that that will be a top tire component mix now with Copper + Goodyear

Goodyear bought Cooper. Pricing for tires is flat out stupid right now.

Record price increases across the board in the past 2 years. I see that trend slowly down. The price increases were so often and so fast it was tough to compare apples to apples. One brand is usually a month behind or ahead on the next price increase.

You're so right, the price here in Europe for a 315/75R16 STT Pro has doubelt now  and actually the best prices are for the Toyos OC MT's and Thr Nitto Tires , crazy. And BFG's ....they are crazy, no way to buy those in 35"

So for the next few years, i'll keep my Coopers ;)
