Ha ha I got a neighbor that just moved in with several *** cars and they all have those big loud exhaust. 12 am or 3 am is getting to me.
I may park the Cummins with 4 inch exhaust no cat in front of his house when I know he is sleeping and let it idle.
Bwhahaha, with age comes nice revenge strategies [emoji78]

Yeah, hard to compete with a five cylinder engine. But you are missing the sound of manually running through gears!

To be honest I would take manual shifting over auto any day! That video looks fun! (except when stuck in traffic offcourse)

Sennin your guy needs to figure out a way and let us guys oversees get our hands on H3 V8 headers!

Btw its interesting seeing a steering wheel on the opp side in an H3! Our SA models come with Left Hand drive!

Mmm i wanted to jump on the idea of being a middle man and getting them and just ship them to you. But the comment regarding the left hand drive has me worried regarding clearance for the headers to fit. Think firstly we will need to do some measurements and make sure the headers will fit. Gonna be an expensive mantle piece if it doesnt clear the stearing column [emoji33]

That is very true! But it wldnt hurt for you to post up a pic of those headers (from the wheel well at least) :D

Here is a little update on the Plasti-dip hood project.

Originally I did the black hood for some upcoming night runs to cut the glare from the OEM roof lights.
So I wanted the "temporary" option.

Now that it is three years later and over 100 degrees for many days I was getting some high engine temps in urban jungle driving.

I decide it was time to pull it off and go with the vents.
Well it's total BS in my case it "just pulls off" don't be worried about it coming off!!!

I finally resorted to my biggest power washer of 3700 psi and will have to clean up with goo gone or some type of solvent.

Wanted to add that at 98F my laser temp gauge showed the black at 145F

The white was 104F.

The 3700 psi pressure washer worked good on most of it by lifting the exposed edges. Some places as in the pictures were stuck better than others. I had to hold on it up close until it started rolling off.
I tried several carcinogenic formulas of chemicals I had but Goo Gone worked well with no damage to the paint.

I was in the mood to "Giterdun" and did not want to order the Plastidip dissolver.

Just for future reference, WD-40 eats plastidip quickly. My last truck came with plastidipped Dick Cepek wheels, which were polished underneath, i wanted a fresh coat since it was peeling and i grabbed the "BIG BLASTER" can or whatever WD-40 calls it, has a wide mouth and is XL size. Doused it and even had some left over in the end!

I tried that too but for me the goo gone worked. The hood was very hot which I thought would help in releasing it but maybe not as far as the solvents evaporating quickly.

The goo gone is sort of a jelly and stayed where I put it.
Either way it takes some time after three years to get this off but it was a great way to see how I liked the black.

Going in I knew it would probably be temporary, I just did not realize it had been three years,

Check this out from Knight Metal works.

Finally had time to install mine.

Having been wanting to have something like these built since 06 but running into issues like having to order multiples and the end price escalating, I was glad to see someone finally accomplish this.

Workmanship is excellent. Engineering was right on. It just took some muscle and a hydraulic tranny jack while on a lift in my case to save the old driver body.

Being that my shop is full of woodworking tools setup for some projects and a long table full of quadcopters (maybe that last one was a drone?), my poor old neck and shoulder is still locked up from sailing in high winds, I opted to get help.

Arkansas Mid-Ark Offroad to the rescue. These guys have done a few small projects like the truck my H3 is sitting beside. lol
Obviously it has on the tires for hauling on a trailer in the first shot.

I have bought two Warn winches from here and have had help with parts on one of those.

If I can't do it myself I want someone that cares and uses the same, or higher quality of workmanship I try to accomplish.
Thanks Daniel

I posted this in the tech section but should also include it here.

ATTENTION!

I have not used the boat in a while, several months, so have not paid attention to the airbags. I shot some air in them to move the boat in our weird warm winter weather we are having.

I noticed they leaked back down rather quickly.

Here is the issue. Because of the cooler weather before this, and the bags having little air in them, they deflated even more when it got cold allowing them to bulge out and the brake bracket sliced a gash in them.

So I set about to remedy this. I was able to purchase the bags alone so saved some money. I mentioned if they were going to sell this as specifically for the H3 they needed to write a warning or include a bracket to move the brake line bracket.
I took some blame as we probably should have checked at deflated as well as full inflation. I could stick my hand between the bag and bracket so it was not obvious. I do plan to inform them that some compensation would be nice. I feel obligated after recommending them to also post this problem on the forum.

Sorry about this but be warned!
The fix was to remove the bracket from current location and relocate using a flat strap metal bracket. I had to shoot this picture with the bag off but it was before I put in the second bolt for the bracket.
This is at full droop on the lift. The ABS line may need to be adjusted a bit more.

Are your bags anchored at the top and bottom? Daystar makes some really cool airbag cradles...basically a urethane cup that bolts to the bumpstop landing platform. Then you only use the top anchor point for the bags, and the bottom just sits inside the cup.
The idea is that you can adjust the ride height and payload capacity when the bags are in place....but then in extreme droop situations, the bag rises up out of the cup and allows the rear axle to droop way beyond normal. This keeps from over stretching the bags and keeps them from becoming "limit straps". I installed this rig on Big Red (gfbH3t) and it works fantastic with the SOA. I'm sure it could work equally well with the spring under.
Jeep guys use the same trick with coil springs...often leaving one end loose so it is free rise out of its pocket and allow more droop.

Yes, anchored top and bottom thru the mounting plates. A nut goes over the air inlet fitting at the top after it is stuck thru the upper plate.
The lower is secured with a bolt thru the lower mounting plate it comes with.

These are installed on a lift so the rear axle was at full droop, no restrictions. Maybe running around 12-15 pounds would allow a bit more length than 40 lbs or so.
I plan to air them down some anyway when offroading.

The black bottom piece with the threads is normally hidden inside the tube when the H3 is at ride height. It drops out when at full droop.

Hunner, I want to thank you for the heads up on the air bags. It's been awhile since I've visited the forum but I always look to see what you have been up to. I had the same problem developing on the drivers side but still holding air. I made the fix on both sides and hopefully won't have to replace the bag. They have been outstanding for my application.
Thanks again-KK

Glad I could help. I felt like since I bragged on how well those worked I should warn people of the problem.

Mine are staying up fine now.
