So far it hasn't cause any grief, but after going through some deep water fairly quickly a couple of days ago, this has been going on. After it sits a little while while and i go back and check it it's back to normal. I don't know much about electrics and this is weird problem to me anyway. Just posting to see if anyone sees something obvious i need to do. Like i said, it hasn't caused me any grief yet and I've turned the fan right down every time I've left the truck so far.

If the problem persists, try looking at the blower control module. I had never heard of the issue before but just did a repair a few months ago on my neighbors 2500 with a similar problem. Apparently it has affected multiple GM vehicles. Replacement module shown in this video did the trick.

What a great video. Seems to be exactly what's going on. I'm going to keep an eye on it for a couple of days, and probably end up doing this. It seemed to coincide with the water-crossing. A CEL came on the next day but didn't stick around.
Thank you.

Well, we'll need more specific information. I'm uncertain where to begin.
It sounds like Korby7 has the right idea. Its a 2010 adventure 5cyl auto. The water wasn't that deep but lots of splash. It's been raining here all week so nothing is really drying out.

Remove your switches and test them. Could be that.

I tested mine once (after noticing in the scanner they were bad) and 4 out of the 5 were faulty.

If they're good, at least you ruled it out...

That did cure itself after about 2 days or less. I'm sure it was about the water crossing. I also got a new battery about the same time, and finally got some proper clamp-on battery terminals.

Sorry ....I meant *door* switches (in post above).

Glad it self-healed. I wish all problems were like that :)
