Since i bought my h3 I have wanted a Gobi rack. Well the Hummer gods opened the doors for me recently and i was able to pick up a slightly used Ranger from a car dealership. The new owner of a red alpha LOADED with chrome didnt want the rack and ladder previously installed. a friend of a friend knowing i had a h3 gave me a call and a heads up on the deal. After a two hour drive and a brief inspection i am the new owner of the rack ive been wanting for a STEAL. i also got the highlift mount and axe/shovel mount. Now adding lights on the rack is on my mind. i see alot of round kc style lights on trucks, but just wondering what others have done. Also what size ARB canopy best fits the rack?

I have 4 of the approximately 6" round PIAA lights in our Ranger Rack. Just left for the airport so can't send you any pictures.

I have 4 KC 6" slimlights on the roof, which I will be upgrading to round leds at some point this year. I also have an awning. I can't remember the length but it might be stated somewhere in my build thread. Personally for this rack I prefer the traditional round light look versus a led bar. The space for the lights looks goofy if it's not properly filled in IMO

I think I'm gonna try to find a 4 inch version of the knockoff arb lights Chris has. Just thought I'd ask and find out what everyone else is running

I saw someone take a 40" bar and just install it on the inside of the rack and thought it looked great

okay, now ive wanted to see this for awhile and no one, i mean no one has done this. mount some fake or (real if you wanna spend the money) ARB intensity lights (4 of them) to the roof rack!! that would get you a **** ton of light output and look ****ing badass!!

at that price I would jump all over that! I can get them for cheaper but it would be coming from China so it's pointless! I might snag some of those soon

Yeah Amazon is amazing for all this stuff. And that's for 2. So that's awesome. I wonder if I could fit 3 on my brush guard...

You can't imagine the roof rack with lighting that Scarsman of Knight Metal Works is building for me! But good lighting is absolutely important to mount on your roof rack.

Nope 9 inch lights won't fit. If I can find a 4 inch version I will probably go that route. The opening is 7.25 inches from mount to the top bar and I gotta think part of that will 've taken up my the light mounting bracket do a 4 inch would be perfect!

Well it's a slight relief but not too much...I think noticed a light bar and perhaps another up top along with those brush guard lights....the in snow pic above is H4O calendar material so we're still having our work cut out for us. I have a stealth and plans for some lights but nothing yet. You still have a sweet bad a$$ rig and an awesome pic.ll,if only we could get snow down here in Miami once in a while.

Thanks! And hahah its all fun and games when you're inside your house or car. Walking to class in this sucks though. I will say saturday night/Sunday morning I had mad fun in some snow drifts. Maybe a little too much though, I drove back to school and had a really, really rough drive. Im hoping nothings broken and that its just the snow thats caked in everything....
