What radio did you buy the pioneer obviously but which one? It looks good so I was jw.

This from Wal Mart.

I checked into Best Buy, sound warehouse and some other places, and this WalMart one jumped out at me over all of them.

Bluetooth, Pandora, DVD (and DVD output for rear seat or overhead screens if I ever want to later on,) and backup camera capabilities, plus the $280 price tag made it a no brainer for me. It was really easy to install on the H3.

It doesn't have navigation, but I have my phone for that when I need it.

Sounds good, I rode my dirtbike up above the temple for like an hour up that way but that's all the experience I've got up there so I'll definitely take you up on that. I'm down in the South end of Utah County

That works. I will PM you my cell. It got some snow again this week so its nice and muddy.

So you can run aux to play music from your phone or you use Bluetooth to play from your phone? Do you have to mess with the onstar system when putting this radio in?

it will run Bluetooth or aux. But my phone has Bluetooth capability so I usually run Bluetooth for the wire-free perks.

I dunno, I've never had Onstar active on one of my vehicles. But I didn't have to "do anything" to the Onstar to install the radio. But I don't know if it will make it not work

How does the Bluetooth work like what did you connect it to?

I don't really understand how it all works, but the radio has it's own Bluetooth address I guess, I dunno, I open my Bluetooth settings on my iPhone and one of the options is AVH200 which is the radio, when I click on that and connect to it then when my phone gets an incoming call, I can answer it through my radio and the call conversation plays through the speakers with no echoing on either end.

Also if I play music through my phone, it automatically plays through the radio and car speakers completely wirelessly.

Also I can access my phones complete address book through my radio and make calls accordingly, all without even touching my phone.

Nice work. Any thoughts or ideas for our 3s, flares or corner guards...
Yeah I'm doing tube flares on mine like the ones that are on that blue 4runner. The ones over the rear doors will have to be split of course, so they won't be as strong as the front, but still better than nothing. I need to do them mainly for tire coverage haha.

Nice steel fabrication work.

Where are you at? Provo?

I think I saw you posting over at RME4x4, good to have you around. We'll have to get together for some local wheelin' this spring/summer.

Oh okay so that's pretty cool. So how was the process of taking and replacing the radio? Was there a lot of frustration with removing the stock one lol?

No way, the H3 has got to be the easiest vehicle I have ever done a radio install on.
