So I removed the air silencer and fabed in a strait piece of pvc in its place. Put a breather on the valve cover return and put better air cleaner on. Cant notice any difference but I know my truck likes me better for it. Its a little dirty from playing in the mud.
Trust me you need a electrical PVC pipe so the heat doesn't shrink it and also run a line from the PCV to the intake or the check engine light will pop on and your MPG will drop.
I had to buy 10 feet of it from home depot for $13.00. As long as it's 3" wide you should be good to go and have a live for the PCV to the intake. I had just the standard PVC and at the clamp down point started to stink due to the the heat in the engine area.
i havent had any issues with the pvc ive used, im actually going to be redoing my whole intake system tho, i found a store bought kit that is metal that will work perfect!
