Got my wheels painted up

Got my thor parts reinforcement plates welded to the OEM UCP and painted

Are you going to paint your center caps? I kind of like the contrast with your wheels. They look darker than stock grey.

they are painted, two toned the center caps grey & back. Yes we do, I'm looking forward to doing another run, work schedules a bit wonky for the moment. Juggling several contracts, and OT scheduling is being pushed til last minute due to budgeting and how much we get done in the shop. Not being a fan of OT I'm pushing pretty hard in the shop to get **** wired and out the door, but that being said, it makes it a little tough to schedule anything. How bout you, how are you looking on weekends for the moment?

yeah, some gal that works up in project management, rides that bike every day, rain or shine. I don't even think she owns a car. She commented on the larger tires several days ago, and I told her that I had been meaning to thank her for offsetting my carbon footprint. :giggle:

Got the AirDoc installed this afternoon, look forward to seeing the difference

Used the waterproof rooftop duffels this last weekend for camping, and we got pissed on both to and from lake billy chinook coming over the mountains. Bags were flawless, now a drop of moisture inside, and looked kickass too!

Just wrapped up with installing the 87 flashpaq tune and took her for a spin, and that combined with the AirDoc and high flow filter makes a nice difference. Definitely alot more response! Now to level the front end, then exhaust!

Well, I just finished cranking my torsion bars up to 23 1/4", and that's level the whole way around, I think I'm going to keep the factory bump stops and just fabricate a spacer for them. I just can't swing new shocks for the moment, so I figured I'd do the Hunner nut trick.I've never pulled shocks, or done any suspension work on my own before, any tips? Or tricks on getting my OEM shocks off to put that nut on? Thanks!

Use a lot of Wd40 or some other penetrating oil. The sud breaks off a lot on the shocks.
Have a backup plan. Truck is looking good though.

Right on, sprayed them with some liquid wrench and I'll leave it sit overnight and tackle them in the morning

Well, fell victim to a Bol shearing off my exhaust manifold on the drivers side week before last, so had to yank that, get the bolt out, swapped the gasket, and put new bolts in. Also swapped out all the shocks with bilsteins and put in the extended bump stops. Built some limb risers for the front end, and built a high lift mount for the rear of the Gobi.

Thanks man! I'm itchin for another browns camp run, but will have to wing it. I'm off today through Sunday and am currently over landing for the week in the lake view to burns area. Pics to follow! I'm going to try to make the Naches run the following Saturday but browns camp for Sunday might be too close to call as I'm not sure when I'll be back in town.

Yep, aug. been a hectic couple of weeks. Dunno why I was thinking weekend after next. Well been a busy few days on the road, done some wheelin and seen some cool stuff. Pics to follow.
