Hello all, I'm Joe. I've been working on a 2010 Alpha for the better part of the year. I hope to add some value to the site with mods I've done, and I also hope to lean on you all for information on these well-known and underappreciated beasts (mainly the manufacturers of third-party parts, etc.) if anyone has any recommended mods for an overlanding/crawling rig, LMK.

Cheers,

Joe

I'll post some mod pics. Need to organize them and label them.

I've installed the ARB twin compressor
Garmin tread device with switch
Fridge slider
Rock rails
Front grill
Headlights
Rear seat delete
Stereo
Rack
RTT
ladder
Lots of wiring
Ecocool alternator charger system
Solar
Winch
Suspension
Whole body skid plates
Air doc

Upcoming are:

Fog lamps
Fold down table at gate
Brush guard
Radio antenna with mounts for handheld.

Once these are finished, it will just be maintenance, I want it to look stock, not looking to make it fancy. I want it practical.

Am I missing something? I am trying to upload jpeg photos, and I get an error " photo is not a photo as expected." Really odd.

Nice rig.

1st thing I did was rip off those ugly nerf bars on my rig.

Cranked up the front suspension (to 23.5" from center of wheel to bottom of fender lip), put on OME front shocks, rebuilt the whole front suspension, Android radio, and put on some 20x10 wheels w/35s (Cooper STT PRO) tires. Had to trim a tiny bit of the plastic rocker on the bottom corner of the fender.

Wife is tired of jumping into the rig so looks like I'm in the market for some NFAB rock sliders w/those cool detachable steps.

I'm a sucker for those cool LED taillights too.

ANdroid radio w/steering wheel controls plus a better (AHD) backup camera.

Steering wheel controls he has in the picture are Bluetooth you can buy on Amazon, and work with the android head units. I have them and they work really good. Mine are velcroed to the steering wheel so I can take them off to charge them.
